Belews Lake

Belews Lake is a lake created by Duke Energy in 1973 as a cooling station for the Belews Creek Steam Station, a coal burning powerplant. Surface elevation of 772', 5.15 miles long, located in Stokes, Guilford, Rockingham, and Forsyth Counties. Average depth is 100 ft. with a max depth of around 130 ft. With 88 miles of shoreline there are numerous places to find privacy and fish.
